ST. LOUIS – SEIU Healthcare Missouri State Director Lenny Jones released the following statement following the judicial order requiring the state to immediately allow enrollment in the 2020 voter-approved Medicaid expansion.  

“This is a great day for the 230,000 Missourians who are now eligible for health care coverage under MO HealthNet (Medicaid). At a time when COVID-19 cases continue to rise and countless Missourians are still suffering economically from this pandemic, access to health care is critical. Fifty-three percent of voters chose to enshrine Medicaid expansion in our state constitution to save lives, protect frontline hospital jobs, and strengthen our economy and communities–and that’s exactly what must begin NOW.”
