DORS UPDATE: COVID-19 PTO extended through 6/30/21
IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR DORS Personal Assistants & MHH workers:
We’re excited to announce that the COVID-19 PTO benefit that we won has been extended through June 30, 2021! This means that any DORS worker who has been infected, had to quarantine, or had to miss work to care for a relative with COVID-19 is eligible for up to 14 days of paid time off – if the worker was affected anytime during March 21, 2020 – June 30, 2021.
This COVID-19 PTO benefit extension applies to those who are:
1. Diagnosed with COVID-19,
2. Under quarantine or isolation order issued by a medical provider or public health agency, or
3. Living with or caring for an individual who is under an official quarantine for a COVID-19 diagnosis or isolation order consistent with the latest CDC and public health guidance.
This is a necessary protection for the essential care work that we provide to our community, and we are glad to see this benefit extended through June 2021.
