State Rep. Bill Mitchell: “Home care for seniors saves the taxpayers money”
After weeks of listening tours and meetings with community members including seniors and home healthcare providers, State Rep. Bill Mitchell acknowledged that home care saves taxpayer money and allows seniors to maintain their independence and comforts of living at home.
The News-Gazette reports that Rep. Mitchell will continue his listening tour this week. Mitchell says he believes “that home care for seniors (which is now without funding in the budget impasse) saves the taxpayers money because it’s an alternative to nursing homes.”
