SEIU Healthcare Illinois released the following statement by Vice President for Nursing Homes Shaba Andrich concerning the planned Labor Day unfair labor practice strike at Infinity nursing homes:

Following Infinity’s resumption of negotiations and agreement to offer a modified proposal, the SEIU Healthcare Illinois bargaining committee for Infinity nursing homes has voted to call off the unfair labor practice strike planned for Labor Day, this Monday, September 4th.

The vote is a demonstration of the bargaining committee’s commitment to reaching a mutually agreeable resolution as expediently as possible.

Our members’ commitment to uninterrupted service during this time serves as a testament to their dedication to the residents for whom they provide direct care and to resolving the issues at hand.
