SEIU Nursing Home Leader Shantonia Jackson Joins Center for Equity Board

Our very own Shantonia Jackson, a CNA at City View, was selected to sit on the board of the Center for Equity, a national hub for developing innovative workforce policy and fostering narrative change in long-term care (LTC). Their work centers the majority Black, Indigenous and people of color (BIPOC) women and immigrant caregiving workforce and confronts the links between systemic racial and gender inequities and poor job quality. The Center unites diverse stakeholders in service of building the equitable caregiving infrastructure our nation needs. Learn more about them at www.centerforltcequity.org.

Jackson also serves on our SEIU HCIIMK Executive Board and our Committee on Political Education (COPE) Board.

Shantonia Jackson is another SEIU leader making a difference in her workplace and in our wider community!
