Progressive labor union representing more than 2,500 working people in St. Louis ready to get out the vote for Gardner ahead of August primary
ST. LOUIS – The SEIU Missouri/Kansas State Council today announced its endorsement of Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner in the August Democratic primary. The SEIU Missouri/Kansas State Council represents more than 2,500 janitors, healthcare and home care workers, nursing home workers, adjunct faculty, state workers and more in the city of St. Louis.
“St. Louis working families need a circuit attorney we can trust who will continue to do the hard, difficult work of fixing our broken criminal justice system,” said SEIU janitor Latrina Dorsey. “Together, we will continue to fight alongside Circuit Attorney Gardner so City residents – Black, white or brown – are treated fairly and with respect and dignity.”
“While wealthy special interests and certain politicians try to divide us for their own benefit, Kim Gardner is a leader who unites us around a common vision for much-needed criminal justice reform in our city,” said SEIU healthcare worker Caprice Nevils. “SEIU members are ready to get out the vote for Kim Gardner this summer.”
