2020 SEIUHCII and Northwestern Memorial Hospital Contract Extension Agreement

The Bargaining Committee has reached the following agreement in exchange for a one-year contract extension.    

The increases and bonus below are not a FINAL CONTRACT.  The bargaining committee will return to the table in October and resume negotiations in earnest.  WE have already reached agreements on Temporary Workers, probationary period, grievance procedure, and bereavement.  The employer has agreed that these tentative agreements will remain in place to be implemented when a full contract agreement is reached.

SUMMARY OF ECONOMIC TERMS

RAISES:

All Service Employees with less than five years of experience:

  • Shall receive a $1.25 increase.  This increase shall be retroactive to January 27, 2020 and the retro and raise will be reflected on the April 10, 2020 paycheck.
  • The wage increase will be in addition to any anniversary raise received prior to April 1, 2020.  No anniversary raises shall be paid between April 1, 2020 and January 27, 2021

All Tech Employees (except pharmacy and scrub techs) with less than five years of experience:

  • Shall receive a $.75 increase.  This increase shall be retroactive to January 27, 2020 and the retro and raise will be reflected on the April 10, 2020 paycheck.
  • Shall receive a retention bonus of $300 payable on the May 8, 2020 paycheck
  • The wage increase will be in addition to any anniversary raise received prior to April 1, 2020.  No anniversary raises shall be paid between April 1, 2020 and January 27, 2021

All Senior Service and Tech Employees (except pharmacy and scrub techs) with five or more yeas but less than 20 years of experience:

  • Shall receive a $.80 increase.  This increase shall be retroactive to January 27, 2020 and the retro and raise will be reflected on the April 10, 2020 paycheck.
  • Shall receive a retention bonus of $500 payable on the May 8, 2020 paycheck

All Senior Service and Tech Employees (except pharmacy and scrub techs) with 20 or more years of experience:

  • Shall receive a $1.00 increase.  This increase shall be retroactive to January 27, 2020 and the retro and raise will be reflected on the April 10, 2020 paycheck.
  • Shall receive a retention bonus of $750 payable on the May 8, 2020 paycheck

Pharmacy Techs will receive an increase based on their professional experience and moved the scale below.   All pharmacy techs will receive a minimum increase of $.75.   

Scrub Techs will receive an increase based on their professional experience and moved the scale below.
