How to Take a Great Selfie

Clean Lens

Gently clean the lens with either a microfiber cloth or cotton swab to wipe away the majority of the grime. Do not use cleaning solvents, or pre-moistened household wipes, as they could damage the screen. However, there are affordable cleaners that are designed for phone and computer screens.

Take Multiple Pictures

Take multiple shots and review – Always take more than one shot. Take like 4-5 right after one another. Review the photos and see if another one is necessary.

Lighting

Good, even lighting makes for good photos. Make sure your camera is not directly facing the light (backlighting).

Depth

Try not to take a picture right up against the wall. Move yourself or the subject of the photo out from the wall 3 feet or more. iPhones have a feature called portrait mode (tap where in the photo you want it to focus if it doesn’t do that automatically).
