Chicago Commons Open Enrollment Info for Union Members

In partnership with the Chicago Commons Association, SEIU Healthcare is sharing the following information regarding voluntary benefits now available to all union members. 

  • Please also remember that all employees that work at least 15 hours per week can enroll in the 403(b) retirement benefit and currently all employees with “Full-time” status (worked at least 1,950 hours in the previous year) will also receive up to a 3% salary match for their 403(b) contributions.

Here are the new benefits being offered by Chicago Commons and information on how to enroll:

We’re pleased to share news regarding additional voluntary benefits offered through Chicago Commons. Employees who regularly work at least 15 hours per week are newly eligible to participate in these benefit options. If you choose to enroll, coverage will begin July 1, 2026. These plans are completely optional and are offered at group rates, which are often more affordable than purchasing similar coverage individually. Enrollment is also made convenient through payroll deductions.

  • Critical Illness
  • Hospital Indemnity
  • Legal Assistance
  • Pet Benefits

What this means for you — As an eligible employee, you now have access to:
